As the name implies, this summary shows USDA calculations averages of Predicted Transmitting Abilities (often known as Cow Indexes) by lactation groupings for the herd. For comparison purposes, county herd averages for PTA are shown. The current Sire PTA averages for the same lactation groupings are also shown.
